According to reports, the system is part of the Attica-Crete high-voltage DC interconnection system, with a total investment of up to 1 billion euros, which is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2024.
Italian cable manufacturer Prussian was awarded the supply contract for the project in 2020 for a total of 270 milionu awọn owo ilẹ yuroopu.
